Dr. Korfmann formed Korfmann Burnett & Partners AG in 1997 after two years at a prominent consulting firm, where he ran the Financial Services Practice. He was Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the international activities of a major private banking group, and prior to that was Chief Executive Officer responsible for Private Banking at Citibank-Switzerland.

Dr. Korfmann is a co-founder of a Swiss private bank, and sits on the advisory boards of a Swiss hedge fund and the Swiss arm of a U.S. investment bank.
